From the very first moment, it was clear that we were meant to be, and we’ve been writing our love story ever since.

Our eyes met, and in that moment, we knew this was the beginning of something beautiful.

It was a perfect blend of surprise, joy, and pure love – a moment we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

It marked the end of a challenging journey and the beginning of a new chapter.

Radiation treatments were a test of resilience and courage.

January 13th - Catholic Match

Matthew sent the first jolly message to Hannah on Catholicmatch. She came right back to him later that day and told him that she was going to be undergoing chemo treatments as she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma.  They continued to message one another. 

February 11th - Pear Tree Inn

Matthew drove himself to St. Louis from Michigan for her second round of chemo treatments. They met at the Pear Tree Inn. Following eating dinner, they went to a church nearby to pray for the upcoming events. That is where they shared their first kiss.  

April 5th - The Farm

Before he proposed, he asked for her dad’s blessing. It was a nice day, so they went for a walk.  He realized on the walk that it was the day to propose. So, at the front of her farm, he got on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage. He presented her with one of his mom’s rings.  

April 8th - Siteman Cancer Center

She had a slow responding cancer and this would mark the last day of chemo. She got to ring the bell and was announced to be cancer free.  

June 3rd - Siteman Cancer Center

She had radiation treatments. This was a part of the treatments that she had to complete. He was only able to come for the last week of treatments. During that week, the two did some fun dates in St. Louis- the zoo, botanical gardens, and went out to eat.
